Editor's note: The reader will  find  in those publications a very interesting chronic concerning the descendants of the French voyageurs and the women of different Indian tribes.These people played an important part in U.S and Canada history. It is also a fine   adventure concerning the Metis people.

note  from Melvin Baudry

"Dear Mr. L..;
I see where there is no more information concerning the Metis on your
web site. I am sorry that it is no longer available. If anyone is
interested in the history of these people and can read English, I would
highly recommend

"Strange Empire" written by Joseph Kinsey Howard.

The book is available at Amazon Books or Barnes Noble it is an old book that
has came out in reprint. I would like to hear from you again and perhaps
I could still send you information on a personal basis. Let me know I
remain Respectfully: Melvin Beaudry
